Inter Milan dismantle Victoria Plzen; relegate Barcelona to Europa League – Match Report

Inter Milan put to sword Victoria Plzen 4-0 on Wednesday night at the San Siro to advance to the knockout round of the UEFA Champions League competition, demoting Barcelona to the UEFA Europa League.

The Nerazzurri came back stronger to take a 2-0 lead at the half against Victoria Plzen, but a frantic comeback by Barcelona at Camp Nou prevented the Italian team from booking their spot in the round of 16 and allowed the Catalan club to steal a 3-3 draw.

Edin Dzeko then doubled their advantage, converting Federico Dimarco’s cross from close range.

Eden Dzeko again scored in the 63rd minutes after being set up on side by Martinez in the second half and Belgian international Romelu Lukaka got into the box of Victoria Plzen, playing one or two passes in the box ans drilled his eefort to cement the victory for the Italian Giants.
