Eric Obeng Acheampong who spots multiple wounds on the back, chest, hands, and face in Odumasi has been beaten for granting an interview to joy news because he stated that a lady who sunk into a pit and died was a result of the actions of the illegal miners.
According to him, “a lot of them beat me, I can remember but cannot recognize most of them” Sources indicated that they picked him up around 5 pm and left him around 9 pm. He iterated that, he was beaten because he stated the truth about the bad actions of the illegal miners and they are destroying the community.

Speaking to Joy News, he affirmed that, he has cuts all over his body whilst his right cannot hear properly due to the attack.
He is urging the Government and the police to come to his aid because his life is at risk due to the fact that he has not gotten a place to hide thus pleading with the police to rescue him.
