Mohammed kudus wins sports personality of the year award at the 47th edition of Sports writers association of Ghana (SWAG) awards.

Dutch-based, Mohammed Kudus won the top award at the 47th edition of the Swags awards yesterday at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) to climax the program.

Kudus scooped to two awards with the first being sports personality of the year where he beat Olympic gold medalist Joseph Paul Amoah- athletics and Abraham mensah – amateur boxing to the laurel.

After a sequence of events unfolded, the Ajax man was honored for his bravery on the pitch, especially his influence with the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and his exploits at club level.

Kudus despite not being available, was largely represented and left a short goodwill and gratification message thanking the president of the association for the award. 

The ceremony saw a large gathering with distinct personalities, journalists and sports men from the various federations.
