Real Madrid defeated Manchester City 3-1 (6-5) on aggregate to reach another champions league final on Wednesday night at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu
Real Madrid and Manchester City were goalless at halftime in their Champions League semi-final second-leg match.
City had the greatest chances of the half, with Bernardo Silva stopped by a fine save from Thibaut Courtois, and the Madrid goalkeeper was on target again to deny Phil Foden.
For the home side, Karim Benzema had a number of early half-chances, but Los Blancos have been unimpressive so far.
Manchester City posed a threat in the last third, while Madrid’s threat at the opposite end was limited.

Manchester seized the lead and a two-goal lead in the tie thanks to a fantastic effort from Riyad Mahrez. For City, Silva led a break to the edge of the box before dumping to Mahrez in the inside-right channel.
The winger connected first-time with his left foot, beating Courtois to the top-right corner with velocity and precision.
Rodrygo converts at the near post to give Madrid a ray of hope. Benzema directs a cross from Camavinga into the centre, where Rodrygo beats Ederson to the ball and scores.
Asensio’s exquisite cross from the right side allowed the Brazilian to soar over Laporte and Dias and slot his effort into the top-left corner, doubling Madrid’s lead.

After scoring two goals in the last minutes, the game was forced into extra time.
Benzema held his nerve once more in the Champions League. The Frenchman sent the Bernabeu into raptures with a low, powerful attempt into the bottom-right corner.
The game ended 3-1 in favour of Real Madrid. Real Madrid will play Liverpool in the finals of the 2021-2022 UEFA Champions League.
