The Ghana Police Service have arrested A 44year for insecure loading, driving and causing damage

The Ghana Police Service on May 1, 2022 have arrested a truck driver for insecure loading and careless driving.

The driver is said to be 44 years old and was travelling from Goaso to Techiman.

The Kenyase District Police Command arrested the driver for causing damage with his insecure loading.

“Meanwhile, the suspect driver is in the custody and will be processed for court” the Police

The driver drives articulated truck loaded with about 2750 sawn lumber and upon reaching the Ntotroso township, all the loads fell offside the road.

According to the Ghana Police Service, the road has been cleared for smooth movement for vehicles.

“The Police have since cleared the road for vehicular movement” Ghana Police Service.

The vehicle has been seized and taken to legal custody by the Police Service.

“The accident vehicle is also impounded at the station for further action” the Police.

The MTTD Command of the Ahafo Region has been directed to take immediate action to check the risks on the road and sanction anyone found at fault.

“In order to clamp down on insecure loading and its attendant issues, the Ahafo Regional MTTD Command has been directed to take immediate steps to check the menace on the road and any driver found culpable will be dealt with accordingly” the Police.
