University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) is pressuring to withdraw its services if government refuses to pay the Book and Research allowance .
The leaders of the union have in past months engaged government over an amount they consider fit for the research allowance.
UTAG President Professor Solomon Nunoo speaking at a press conference in Accra stated government ought to pay the book and research allowance to help enable lectures effectively deliver their duties.
“This continued delay is causing unnecessary apprehension on the various campuses.”
To him, there is only one Language government understand which is strike thus if the government fails to do the needful, they will speak that language(strike) for one week .
